The Economic Survey 2025-26 reported a significant rise in India's Female Labour Force Participation Rate (FLFPR). It reached 41.7% in 2023-24, up from 23.3% in 2017-18, marking a jump of over 18%. Additionally, as of January 2026, the e-Shram portal has registered over 31 crore unorganised workers, with women accounting for over 54% of total registrants, the government said.
