NCLT rebukes SpiceJet for ‘wasting court’s time’, defers insolvency orders

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) deferred orders in eight insolvency petitions against SpiceJet after the airline disclosed a settlement on the judgment day, saying court time had been "wasted". The petitions were filed by aircraft lessors over unpaid dues. In an oral order, the tribunal directed SpiceJet to settle its dues with other creditors within two days.
