Having kids doesn't boost happiness, study finds

Having children does not affect a person's hedonic wellbeing (happiness, optimism) and life satisfaction, as per a study published in the journal Evolutionary Psychology. Moreover, people without children reported a slightly higher relationship satisfaction, it found. It, however, noted a small positive effect in eudaimonic wellbeing (sense of meaning and purpose in life), especially in women.
