Curacao goalkeeper Eloy Room, who made 15 saves in their FIFA World Cup 2026 match against Ecuador, was born in the Netherlands and came through the academy of Eredivisie club Vitesse. He made his Curacao debut in 2015 after being capped once at the Under-20 level by the Netherlands. The 37-year-old currently plays for Miami FC in the USL Championship.
