Holiday heart syndrome is a term used to describe a group of heart problems that tend to occur during winter holiday season, often linked to changes in routine, diet and lifestyle. It includes atrial fibrillation (AFib), heart failure and myocardial infarction. Dr Keith Churchwell, former volunteer president of American Heart Association, described it as a "constellation of medical diseases".
