Thailand raids sex workers ahead of arrival of 5,000 US soldiers who spent 200 days at sea

Authorities in Thailand's Pattaya have launched a crackdown on sex workers and prostitution networks ahead of arrival of US warship USS Abraham Lincoln, which has spent over 200 consecutive days at sea amidst Iran war. The ship with 5,000 soldiers will be in Thailand for "rest and recreation". The crackdown comes amidst concerns over possible spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
