US-based real estate technology firm Opendoor announced it's shutting down its India operations, laying off nearly 250 employees. The roles will now be handled by teams in the US, with CEO Kaz Nejatian saying the company has unified its systems and hired "AI-native" teams there. Affected employees will receive severance packages and some will stay on temporarily to complete transition.
