Indian scientists shatter decades-old limit in heat-to-electricity conversion
Researchers from India and Australia have shattered a decades-old physics limit in converting heat into electricity. They created engineered semiconductor films generating thermoelectric voltage over 1,000 times higher than values typically seen in inorganic semiconductors. This opens a path to a new generation of ultrasensitive temperature sensors, heat detectors and quantum sensing devices.
