The US House Committee on Homeland Security sent letters to Google and Apple CEOs demanding detailed account of their efforts to remove apps, such as ICEBlock, used to track federal immigration officers. The letters urged firms to ensure that such apps can't be used to track ICE officers. Lawmakers asked companies to give a brief by December 12.
