The Indian Army started training Village Defence Guards in specialised guerrilla warfare in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda in a bid to bolster counter-terrorism readiness. Around 150 villagers, including women, underwent the training, which involved learning how to handle automatic rifles, self-defence, bunker construction, tactical manoeuvres, etc. A video of the same has surfaced online.
