IOC has banned transgender women and DSD athletes from female category at Olympics. IOC confirmed athletes wanting to compete in female category at Olympics will have to undergo SRY gene screening to detect their biological sex. In 2024 Olympics, controversy erupted over eligibility of boxing gold medallists Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting, who were accused of having male-typical biological traits.
