World Bank raises India’s FY27 growth forecast to 7.1%

India's economy is expected to grow 7.1% in FY27, up from the World Bank's earlier 6.6% forecast, driven by strong industrial and services activity despite weaker agriculture. Growth is projected at 7.2% in FY28 after 7.8% in FY26. India's strong performance is also lifting South Asia's growth, with the region forecast to expand 6.9% in 2026.
