The combined market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms crossed the $5-trillion (over ₹414 lakh crore) mark for the first time on Tuesday, data on BSE's website showed. The firms' mcap has risen over $633 billion so far in 2024. BSE-listed firms had hit the $4-trillion mark in November 2023, $3-trillion mark in May 2021 and the $2-trillion mark in July 2017.
