Andrei Belousov, who has been appointed as Russia's new Defence Minister, had previously served as the country's deputy PM. Belousov, aged 65, is an economist who doesn't possess any military experience. Belousov has worked at the Russian Academy of Sciences as a market forecaster and he had also served as the country's deputy economy minister between 2006 and 2008.
