Russia has agreed to pull back its troops and border guards from five regions of Armenia at Yerevan's request. The move came after departure of nearly 2,000 Russian peacekeepers from in and around the Nagorno-Karabakh region, which Azerbaijan recaptured last year. Separately, protests erupted in Armenia over the government's decision to hand over control of several border villages to Azerbaijan.
