British middleweight boxer Sherif Lawal passed away after collapsing in the ring during his professional debut on Sunday. The 29-year-old was hit on the temple in the fourth of the six scheduled rounds at London's Harrow Leisure Centre against Portuguese opponent Malam Varela. The event was cancelled following the incident.
