Adarsh Behera, a 36-year-old man from Odisha, returned to the state on Wednesday after spending 45 days in captivity in Sudan. Calling his survival a “rebirth,” he said he didn't expect to remain alive after being abducted by the Rapid Support Forces militia. Behera alleged he was tortured, denied food for days, jailed and forced to walk through the jungle.
