'Red' alert issued for Delhi for next 2 days amid severe heatwave

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued 'red' alert for Delhi for the next two days (Monday and Tuesday) amid severe heatwave. The maximum temperature is expected to hit 44°C on Monday and 45°C on Tuesday. Further, 'orange' alert has been issued for Wednesday and Thursday with maximum temperature hitting 44°C. 'Red' alert has also been issued in Uttar Pradesh.
