Dhurandhar’s title originally belonged to the late actor-director Satish Kaushik, Anupam Kher had reportedly revealed in an old video. The filmmakers paid a heartfelt tribute to Satish Kaushik's wife, Shashi, in the end credits. "Dhurandhar was a title which was with Satish Kaushik...happy to read Shashi Kaushik's name in the acknowledgement," Kher had said in the video.
