A US federal judge on Friday blocked Pentagon's new press rules saying they violate Constitution's First Amendment by restricting press freedom. The policy, introduced in October, states Pentagon could revoke credentials for any journalist if they seek information not authorised for public release. The judge ruled that it was "more important than ever" that public knows what government is doing.
