Karnataka introduced a bill to safeguard 'freedom of choice' in marriage and prevent honour killings. As per 'Eva Nammava Eva Nammava' Bill, all persons shall have the right to autonomy over their own lives, including the freedom to marry person of their choice. Efforts by families or clans to break the relationship will be recognised as serious forms of coercion.
