Since the Middle East war outbreak on February 28, BSE Sensex slid 6,723 points (8.27%) to reach 74,564 on March 13, while the Nifty 50 dropped 2,028 points (8%) to 23,151. Both indices hit their lowest since April 2025. Over two weeks, BSE-listed companies lost over ₹33 trillion in market capitalisation, with roughly ₹20 trillion eroded in the past week.
