India terms West Asia conflcit as 'war', allows companies to invoke force majeure

The Finance Ministry has permitted companies across the country to invoke force majeure for government contracts hit by delays caused by the Middle East conflict. The ministry said the deadlines of the affected contracts can now be extended by two to four months without any penalty. It also clarified that the ongoing West Asia conflict should be treated as "war".
