The death toll due to contaminated milk consumption in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari rose to 13, with seven undergoing treatment, a health department official said on Thursday. The official added that the dairy supplying milk to 106 families was sealed and the vendor taken into custody. The milk was found to be mixed with ethylene glycol, a toxic anti-freeze chemical.
