China's exports rose sharply to 12.4% in March year-on-year marking a five-month-high due to a temporary rush in shipments in view of US President Donald Trump's sweeping reciprocal tariffs, according to official data. However, the country's imports declined by 4.3%. Moreover, China's trade surplus with the US in the first quarter rose to $76.6 billion from $70.2 billion last year.
