Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments (PELOSI) Act, reintroduced by US Senator Josh Hawley, will prohibit lawmakers and their spouses from holding or deadling in stocks while holding office. Lawmakers would be allowed to invest in MFs, ETFs and Treasury bonds. Act is named after Nancy Pelosi, who enjoyed major stock market gains during her term as Speaker.

During a high-level meeting with CDS General Anil Chauhan and all armed forces chiefs, PM Narendra Modi affirmed it's India's national resolve to deal a crushing blow to terrorism, government sources said. PM Modi also told armed forces that they have complete operational freedom to decide on mode, targets, and timing of our response to Pahalgam terror attack, sources added.

Sumant Kathpalia has resigned from his position as IndusInd Bank's CEO over accounting discrepancies in derivatives trades. In his resignation letter, Kathpalia said he's taking "moral responsibility" for the accounting lapses, which are estimated to cost ₹1,960-crore loss to IndusInd Bank. This comes a day after the bank's Deputy CEO Arun Khurana also resigned citing the discrepancies.

Gold prices climbed ₹1,050 to ₹99,450 per 10 grams in Delhi on Tuesday a day before Akshaya Tritiya, according to the All India Sarafa Association. On Monday, the metal of 99.9% purity declined ₹1,000 to ₹98,400 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, silver prices bounced ₹3,500 to trade near an all-time high at ₹1,02,000 per kg on Tuesday.
