A 43-year-old journalist was killed in broad daylight in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur on Monday, police said. Ashutosh Srivastava of Sabarhad village was riding his bike to Imranganj market when unidentified people shot him in Shahganj. He was writing against cow slaughter and had received smugglers' threats, reported PTI, adding that his family said police rejected his request for protection earlier.
