Supreme Court has used the term 'pregnant person' instead of 'pregnant woman' in a judgment related to the termination of pregnancy of a 14-year-old girl. It observed that apart from a cisgender woman, pregnancy can also be experienced by non-binary people and transgender men, among other gender identities. In the 22-page judgement, the court used the term 41 times.
