The Karnataka Cabinet held preliminary discussions on approaching the Supreme Court over upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise by the ECI. "SIR has caused problems...In West Bengal, 27 lakh voters lost their voting rights," minister HK Patil said. The objective in approaching the apex court was to ensure ECI's transparency and political parties getting access to the rolls, he added.
