The Delhi High Court ruled that just because a wife is earning is not an absolute bar for the wife claiming maintenance from the husband. Maintenance is dependent on other factors like husband’s earnings, whether the wife is earning enough to support herself and her minor child/children. This will come as a breather for working women.
