Li Hua, from Yongzhou, China, spent 28 years of his life hunched over due to a rare condition called ankylosing spondylitis. In 2019, he underwent a series of life-changing operations that allowed him to stand and walk upright. Doctors broke Li's spine into sections and straightened it out. They also fixed his thigh bones.
