Awami Action Committee (AAC) leader Umar Nazir Kashmiri accused the Pakistan Army of conducting the electoral process in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) through coercive means. He alleged that the exercise is being conducted "at gunpoint" and claimed that nearly "95 per cent of genuine Kashmiri representatives" had been prevented from contesting the elections.
