Andhra Pradesh-based startup Red Balloon Aerospace will launch its first super pressure balloon (SPB) in the coming months. It'll be placed in a high-altitude stratospheric layer between 20 and 40 kilometres from Earth's surface. It aims to provide a host of services, including telecommunications coverage in rural regions. SPBs are high-altitude balloons used for long-duration scientific missions.
