UN's development chief Alexander De Croo said the US-Iran war will push 30 million people back into poverty due to fuel and fertiliser supply disruptions. He added that fertiliser shortages have lowered agricultural productivity as one-third of global fertiliser supply passes through Strait of Hormuz. "Food insecurity will be at its peak level in a few months," he further said.
