Bar Council of India wrote to CJI Surya Kant, seeking transfer of Andhra Pradesh High Court judge Justice Tarlada Rajasekhar Rao for sending a lawyer to 24-hour judicial custody for behaving "indolently". The hearing's video showed the advocate 'begging for grace' with folded hands. "Incidents of this nature...have a chilling effect upon young members of the Bar," the letter read.
