The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) directed Delhi and NCR state governments to ensure the immediate suspension of all outdoor physical sports activities amid deteriorating air quality. The commission warned that the continued conduct of such events poses a "serious health risk to children". This comes after CAQM imposed GRAP-IV anti-pollution curbs in Delhi-NCR on Saturday.
