Cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar has become the first Indian sportsperson to receive court-backed protection for his personality and publicity rights. The Delhi High Court on Tuesday ordered those accused of misusing his name and image to remove all such content within 72 hours. The court added that social media and e-commerce platforms must take down content if there is non-compliance.
