Nishant Kumar, the son of Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) president Nitish Kumar, formally joined the party on Sunday. This comes after Nitish Kumar filed his nomination for Rajya Sabha on Thursday. Nitish, who recently became Bihar CM for the tenth time, is set to resign from the post.
