The US will spend $5 billion (around ₹48,240 crore) for "AI for science" initiative, training AI models to tackle scientific problems. The initiative involves 15 government agencies, including Departments of Health, Energy, Transportation, Defense. The agencies will use the funding to identify the root causes of chronic diseases and accelerate drug discovery, among other tasks.
