Oil jumps 3% after Iran strikes Middle East energy sites

Oil prices rose around 3% on Thursday after Iran attacked several energy facilities across the Middle East following strikes on ​its South Pars gas field, Reuters reported. Brent futures were up by $3.69 to $111.07/barrel by 0142 GMT while WTI crude rose by $2.29 to $98.61. The surge followed Iran's retaliatory strike on Qatar's major LNG hub, raising supply concerns.
