Israeli military strikes across the Gaza Strip killed at least 61 people during the 48 hours, local medics said on Saturday. In one of the attacks, Israeli strikes hit two former schools that were housing displaced people, killing at least 12 people. The Israeli military said the strikes targeted Hamas gunmen who were operating in the compound.
