Some Indian urea plants halt operations amid LNG shortage: Report

Some Indian urea makers, including top producer Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd, have shut some plants or begun routine maintenance after the Middle East war disrupted LNG supplies, Bloomberg reported. A government spokesperson said fertiliser makers are currently receiving about 70% of their average LNG needs. Restarting a paused plant could reportedly take up to a month.
