7 of 9 indicators crucial for life on Earth breached at highest levels: Report

A Planetary Health Check report said seven of nine “planetary boundaries” that determine whether life can flourish on Earth are being breached at the highest levels. These include climate change, land-system change, freshwater change, biogeochemical flows and ocean acidification, among others. The report also said the number of marine heatwave days has more than tripled since 1991.
