AITUC demands EPF wage cap be raised to ₹30,000

AITUC has urged the government to raise the EPF wage ceiling from ₹25,000 to ₹30,000/month, citing rising inflation and living costs. The recent hike from ₹15,000 (unchanged since 2014) to ₹25,000 will extend EPF benefits to 51 lakh more workers, but AITUC says it falls short of current economic realities.
