Twenty-two-year-old Ariha Pangambam scripted history by winning gold in the senior women’s individual event at the 10th Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Tagaytay City, Philippines. Pangambam became the first Indian gymnast to win the Asian title in this event. She recorded a final score of 19.10, including 8.65 in artistry, 7.60 in execution and 2.85 in difficulty.
