A BMC employee who fell into an open drain during heavy rain in Mumbai rejected conspiracy claims surrounding the incident. He said his foot slipped and an open grill caused the fall. The incident occurred while Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde was inspecting the ground situation. Following the incident, Tawde suggested the Opposition may have staged the act for foul play.
