Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Health Prataprao Jadhav said the Centre is "fully prepared" to tackle human metapneumovirus (HMPV) cases in the country. "We're keeping a close track of people arriving from neighbouring countries," he added. "We're keeping a close watch," Jadhav stated. A total of seven cases of HMPV have been reported in India till Tuesday.

India's year-on-year inflation rate based on the All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) for March 2025 over March 2024 stood at 3.34%, the government said on Tuesday. There is a decline of 27 basis points in the headline inflation of March 2025 in comparison to February 2025. It is the lowest year-on-year inflation after August 2019, the government added.
