Chandigarh bans Uber and Rapido for 6 months

Chandigarh's State Transport Authority suspended the aggregator licence of Uber and Rapido for six months over violation of 'Chandigarh Aggregator Policy, 2025'. The administration said the companies did not provide a satisfactory response after multiple notices. The order said the company's violations included provisions related to health insurance, drivers' training and overcharging customers.
