OpenAI's conversational chatbot ChatGPT processes 2.5 billion prompts/day from users all over the world, with over 330 million of those coming from the US, Axios reported. This marks a 150% surge from the 1 billion prompts/day handled by ChatGPT in December 2024. ChatGPT's free version is used by the "vast majority" of the platform's 500 million weekly active users.
