Researchers estimated that climate change could worsen risk of diarrhoea, a leading cause of death among children under five, across South and Southeast Asia, according to study published in journal Environmental Research. The study found a 39% rise in cases when temperatures ranged from 30°C to 40°C and a 29% increase when rainfall during wettest month fell below 600 mm.
