Drinking more tea in winter may raise joint pain, stiffness

Excessive tea consumption in winter may worsen joint stiffness, especially for people with arthritis, warns Dr Dushyant Chouhan. Cold weather dries out knee cartilage, and too much caffeine increases inflammation, uric acid, and dehydration, making joints ache. Doctors advise moderation, hydration, reduced sugar, and limiting caffeine to about three cups daily.
